Daily Disposable Contact Lenses or Extended Wear Contact Lenses,Colored contact lenses
Daily disposable contact lenses versus Extended Wear Contact LensesOne of the largest advances in contact lens technology has been the development of the extended wear lens. Extended wear contact lenses can be left in place full-time for a week ( and longer relying on the kind of material used ) before needing to be removed. Before that, only daily wear contact lenses were available. The key difference between everyday wear and extended wear contact lenses is the flow of oxygen. Extended wear lenses can transfer oxygen from the air thru the contact lenses and onto the cornea so that it can breathe. When the cornea does not get a sufficient supply of oxygen, it is at the mercy of a few different eye issues including giant papillary conjunctivitis and corneal edema. Extended wear contact lenses are ideal for busy folks as they require minimal upkeep. They are also a sensible choice for people who work weird hours and double shifts like doctors and firefighters. Extended wear disposable lenses are the most convenient because they are simply disposed of after they are removed. The 1st extended wear lenses were not engineered to be disposed of. Wearers reinserted the same pair after removing them for routine cleaning and disinfecting. Because it wasn't feasible to fully clean and disinfect these lenses, infections and irritations were common. Infections, though more rare, remain a risk and those that select extended wear lenses are suggested to get frequent eye exams. Though they are convenient, these lenses aren't right for everybody. Some are uncomfortable with the concept of leaving their contacts in whilst sleeping. They believe ( wrongly ) that they'd become lost within the eye and such thoughts could cause stress. For others, the eyes just aren't able to get sufficient oxygen, and they need to change to daily lenses. Everyday wear soft lenses have always been the preferred of the contact lens types. They are soft and cosy, cause minimal eye issues and they are straightforward to get used to. As they are made mostly of water, they stick well and float openly on the outside of the eyes. They are ideal for those concerned in sports and hobbies where wearing glasses can become a safety issue. They are made of a more sturdy plastic than disposable everyday wear lenses so they are not as likely to tear from handling. And since these lenses don't have to be replaced till they either become damaged or the wearer's prescription changes, they can be the most cost effective of the various kinds of lenses. The drawback of regular wear soft contact lenses is they do need routine upkeep. They have to be entirely cleaned and washed before they are stored otherwise protein will start building up. Though daily cleaning takes only mins, it is a straightforward step to hop because to the bare eye, the contacts don't appear 'dirty'. Daily Disposable contact lenses are almost most maintenance-free and are a wiser choice if the wearer isn't disciplined enough to follow a regular contact lens cleaning schedule.Colored Contact Lenses-Colored Contacts-Colored Contact Lens From daily Disposable Contact lenses to Homepage of Colored Contact Lenses-Colored Contacts-Colored Contact Lens
